Art Market This Week!

I really love doing this market. There is alway wonderful things so see and buy, I love being a part of it!
This will be my last market for a few months. I am moving and setting up my ceramics studio, all while trying to enjoy my little family as much as possible. Don't worry, I will still be making felt flowers! I will just be making ceramic cookie jars too.

pining a little for my clay days...

When I tried to teach my honey to throw a pot

a bowl I gave to my good friend Rachel

I sold this piece at a gallery in SLC, made me feel like a real artist. It was probably for a dental office.
I miss that messy studio, and my good friend Rachel (go check out her awesome work), who was the best studio buddy ever. She always had great music, introduced me to my honey, but mostly she is one of the most fun people in the world.

I did sea shells for my BFA show. I think I ended up there because they can be abstracted a little, which allowed me to play with shape and color. I am starting to see my felt flowers this way too. I want to elevated them, maybe enter the realm of textile art.

Artist Crush: Maynard Dixon

I watched a program on PBS about Maynard Dixon, and found myself captured be the beauty he was able record with paint of the big wild spaces in our West. There is so much variety of color in this landscape that is sometimes described as being dry and dull. He defiantly did this beautiful land justice.

Come and Get Some LOVE!!!
